Unfortunately, the Loft has now shut its doors… however there is an amazing new rammed earth cabin being built in early 2021 with most materials being sourced from the 100-acre property.
Send us an enquiry to go on our waiting list. We have included some site photos, 3D renders of the cabin and a brief description below.
Luxury eco-hideaway Wollemi Retreat is adding two high-end cabins to the property to better cater to tourists keen to explore the beautiful Mudgee Region.
The 60 square metre studios will be located on the opposite side of the property to the existing house, spread over approximately 20 acres close to the creek. They will be built according to an ancient building practice using rammed earth which acts both as an insulator and a fire retardant.
The new additions will fit perfectly with the property’s existing eco-credentials which have become a major part of its appeal. Most of the building materials are being sourced onsite, with the exception of the glass.
Furthermore, a zoologist and an ecologist have visited the property to ensure the new development is carried out with minimal impact on local flora and fauna.
The cabins will offer couples a unique regional experience with atmospheric hanging fireplaces, polished concrete floors, timber-lined ceilings and panoramic windows which overlook the creek.
Offering total privacy, they will be separated from the other parts of the property backing onto the National Park with its stunning views and excellent hiking opportunities.
Work is expected to start on the cabins early next year with completion due in April 2021.
